Geography

Through the teaching of Geography at Rosetta, we strive to aid the children in successfully navigating their understanding of the world and understanding their place within it. The Geography curriculum aims to develop children's geographical thinking skills and imagination through direct experience with the wider world and the local area which encourages children to enquire about different societies, cultures and people. At Rosetta, we develop positive attitudes and enthusiasm through delivering topics which highlight areas that impact our world today, such as; local regeneration programmes, local mapping in Custom House and Canning Town, sustainability and global conservation programmes, refugees and the immigration crisis etc. Throughout the primary years, geographical subject knowledge is taught in line with the four key geographical skills; providing the basis of a rich and stimulating curriculum.
