Rosetta's Governing Body

I am delighted to welcome you to the Governor’s section of the website and many thanks for visiting the school’s website.

We have a very active Governing Body at Rosetta that works closely with the Head teacher and all the staff at the school. The Governing Body is very active in the following key roles:

• To take a strategic role in the running of the school
• To act as a critical friend to the school
• To ensure accountability of the Governing Body to the parents and of the Head teacher to the Governing Body

We work in partnership with the Head teacher and the school staff and do not get involved in the day to day operation of the school, as this is the Head Teacher’s responsibility. 

We are delighted with the school’s achievements and are working towards the school being recognised as “Outstanding” in the next Ofsted inspection.

There are currently 14 governors at the school who are appointed through various routes. Some are appointed by the Local Authority; there are Parent Governors elected by the parents themselves and Co-opted Governors appointed by the Governing Body. Co-opted Governors are from the community and bring their skills to the Governing Body for the benefit of the school.

Governors are also actively involved in school life and contribute in many ways to the school, bringing a range of skills and often visit the School to see the School in action.

We are always keen to hear from anyone who is interested in becoming a Governor.
