As you will probably be aware schools in England and Wales are inspected on a regular basis by Ofsted. Inspections normally happen every three years; unless the school is seen to be doing very well.

We are pleased to be able to tell you that Rosetta is one of the school’s that the Government and Ofsted feel are doing very well; and therefore the inspection that we were expecting this academic year had been deferred until, at the earliest, Summer term 2014.

This is a real acknowledgement of the work that the school has been doing over the last few years; wherein pupil achievement has been improving year-on-year, school leadership and staffing are secure and seen to be doing an excellent job and that other stakeholders, including parents and carers, feel the school is at least good, if not outstanding.

I would like to thank all of the school’s senior leaders and staff, teaching and non teaching, for all of their hard work; parents and carers for their continued support, governors for their hard work and of course pupils, past and present; for all their contributions and efforts in supporting Rosetta School in achieving this excellent acknowledgment of the school’s outstanding work.

A letter for parents and carers from Ofsted which confirms the deferment of an inspection has been sent home to all parents/carers today.
